VirusTotal is an online tool that aggregates many antivirus products and online scan engines.
If you are unsure about a file if it contains a virus or not, you can send it to VirusTotal because file will be scanned by more than 40 different antivirus engines. VirusTotal has a simple interface where you can upload one file at the time up to 128 MB. File can be also sent via email.
VirusTotal is free to use for non commercial purposes.
